WGG Australia serves as a vital bridge between survivors and the justice system through a comprehensive approach to reform and support. We work tirelessly to close the gaps in the current system by educating legal professionals about trauma-informed practices, advocating for policy changes that put survivors first, and pushing for institutional reforms.

Our organisation recognises that navigating the justice system can be overwhelming for survivors, which is why we focus on creating clearer pathways and more supportive processes. Through strategic partnerships with legal institutions, healthcare providers, and community organisations, we ensure that survivors' voices are heard and their needs are prioritised at every step of their journey through the system.

100% Volunteer-Powered: Every initiative, event, and program at WGG Australia is made possible through the dedication of our volunteer team members who generously donate their time and expertise to support our mission.

  • EDUCATE

We design and deliver trauma-informed lawyering modules and consent education modules for institutions and organisations, equipping future legal professionals and the wider community with the tools to advocate compassionately and effectively for survivors.

  • ADVOCATE

Our campaigns tackle systemic barriers to justice, including our current initiative, โ€˜Safe Path,โ€™ which lobbies to mandate forensic testing for sexual assault victims in all NSW hospitals.

  • EMPOWER

Through workshops, community outreach, events and social media, we raise awareness of domestic, sexual, and family violence, creating informed communities ready to stand against abuse. Every step we take is driven by the voices of survivors and a commitment to meaningful, lasting change.

OUR VISION

A future where every survivor has access to justice, support, and care, and where communities are empowered to stand united against violence in all its forms.

OUR MISSION

To lead the fight against domestic, sexual, and family violence through transformative advocacy, education, and systemic reform. At WGG Australia, we champion survivor-centred initiatives, such as trauma-informed legal education and equitable access to forensic care, to create a safer and more just society.

By empowering communities, shaping policy, and fostering compassion within the justice system, we aim to dismantle barriers and build a future where every individual is free from violence. Your support fuels this mission, enabling us to advocate for lasting change and provide a voice for those who need it.
